OBJECTIVE
Global Beach were asked to rebuild PayPal Business Hub with three key objectives in mind. The first one was to increase merchant sign up rate and drive traffic to new products. Another objective was to improve the SEO performance of the site, whilst ensuring brand consistency with other PayPal spaces online with the creation of a scalable layout, communicating more effectively PayPal’s brand values.
SOLUTION
The website Global Beach built for PayPal followed a number of tests and researches on usability and user journeys, resulting in a complete redesign of wireframes and user routes. The result gave the site a more open and lighter look and feel, promoting mythbusting content and helping to segment different user journeys.
Global Beach optimised the pages to increase the natural search listing positions in Search Engines, implementing SEO friendly naming strategy and using clear and simple descriptions.
RESULT
The new design by Global Beach reduced the exit rate from PayPal website by 275% and almost doubled the thru-traffic reaching other content, while retaining twice as many visitors on the PayPal Business Hub and driving 34% more users to log into PayPal.
The new implementation also led to more balanced, equally weighted visits to all product areas, and the creation of new accounts increased by 300% for two services, and doubled for three others.
