OBJECTIVE
Union View wanted a site to support the display of the rich media content they were developing for all of the universities in the UK. The site supports video, audio and flash and had to be updateable by Union View.
SOLUTION
The site Global Beach built for Unionview gives users an independent view of what each university and its immediate surroundings have to offer. We believe that, aside from actually visiting a place, the best way of seeing what a university might be like is through impartial, unbiased films, that introduce you to some of the students, show you where you may be living, and how you might be taught. That’s what the Unionview is all about.
RESULT
The site captures the flavour of over 100 universities throughout the UK, and gives users the essential ingredients of the student experience there. The students themselves take the time to give their own opinions, and the films are based on their views. As broad a range of students as possible are interviewed to highlight the scope of student life, so you come across student union presidents, entertainment officers, society presidents and student ambassadors, as well as a number of students from an array of backgrounds studying a variety of subjects.
